Funding

We are almost entirely funded by donations which are gratefully received. This can be done either through Paypal, bank transfer or you can buy us an item from our Amazon Wishlist. We are also happy to take a donation towards a particular animals care when they are brought to us. We are run purely by volunteers and do not have any paid members of staff.

All donations go towards meeting some of the significant costs involved in running Acorn Squirrel Rescue. Each squirrels care costs us approximately £1 per day/£30 per month/£360 per year! This is just their day to day costs and would not include veterinary costs and medication, the purchase and maintainance of larger equipment such as incubators, cages, etc. so as you could imagine it costs us a significant amount to stay open and keep saving these wonderful animals. If you can help us at all with any of these costs, please do, its gratefully recieved. If every person who came onto our website or contacted us could spare £5 per month, we would need 6 people to do this to care for 1 of our squirrels and that would really help!
